What Happens When You Turn On A Broken Plasma Ball What Happens When You Break Open A Plasma Ball?

What happens when you break open a plasma ball? - what happens when you turn on a broken plasma ball

You know, one of the novelty items that you in a gift shop that has a transparent globe on sale. When the device is switched on outside the purple glow. I know that it is gas inside, it seems that the gas escape, and then hop, or plasma, but the ball in the middle of the left? The current problem? When I play, it electrocute me?

I have a plasma ball, much older, was conducted in 1987. It has a crystal ball. I do not know if they were made these days are made of plastic or not.

Plasma balls are inert gases in them and spilled the ball from a high-frequency, high voltage alternating current through the ball of gas. I do not recommend breaking the ball and the gas can be toxic, and I do not want thousands of volts running through your body when you contact the electrode.
They are essentially a capacitor, and if you ever touched a small capacitor, you know, you do not feel good to have a download on my finger.

Do not touch the world in the middle. It's like a large capacitor. I used to use small capacitors to aluminum foil (do not ask me why) melt. It would say painful (to say the least) when you touch him.
